To implement offline files, you need to perform the following task:
1. Configure offline files.

1. Swirch to the EBDD_SRV1 virtual machine.
2. click the FileExplorer icon on the Taskbar, the Libraries window is displayed.
3. Expand the Computer node in the left pane.
4. select the Local Disk (C:) node in the left pane. the Local Disk (C:) window is displayed.
5. create a folder named ResearchData.
6. Right click the ResearchData folder, and then select share with specific people. the file sharing window is displayed.
7. type Reserach in the type a name and then click add, or click the arrow to find someone combo box.
8. click the Add button.
9. click the drop down arrow under the Permission Level column Corresponding to Research.
10. select the Read/Write option.
11. click the Share button.
12. click the done button.
13. right click the researchData folder, and then select the propeties option. the ResearchData Properties dialog box is displayed.
14. click the Sharing tab.
15. click the Advanced Sharing button. the Advanced sharing dialog box is displayed.
16. click the caching button. the offline setting dialog box is displayed.
17. select the all files and programs that the users open from the shared folder are automatically available offline option.
18. Ensure that the Optimize for performance check box is seleced.
19. click the ok button twice.
20. click the close button.
21. close the Local disk (C:) window.
22. log out from the EBDD_SRV1 virtual machine.
23. switch to the EBDD_DC1virtual machine.
24. Ensure that the server Manager window is open and active.
25. Expand the Policies Administative templates network nodes under the left pane.
26. type 1 in the first row of value column.
27. click the ok button twice.
28. right click the Enable file synchronization on costed networks option, and then select the Edit button. the Enable
file synchronization on costed networks window is displayed.
29. select the Enable option.
30. click the ok button.
31. close all the open windows.
32. log out and revert all the virtual machines.
