The company has provided its employees laptops to give them flexibility to work anywhere and give presentations to the clients. The employees need to meet clients and handle the client presentations in different conference rooms. However, the employees cannot take their laptops anywhere in the company campus, as these laptops are connected with the LAN cables. You are the system administrator for ABC-Systems and need to resolve this issue, so that the employees can have the flexibility to take their laptops anywhere in the company premises. How will you achieve the same? Experiment To configure wireless device, perform the following tasks: Configure wireless router. Configure wireless on the computer.

Task 1. Configure wireless router.
To Configure wireless router, you need to perform the following steps:
1. Ensure that the Start screen is Displayed.
2. Press the window_C keys. The Charms bar is displayed.
3. Click Search the Search Charm is displayed.
4. Type Command Prompt, and then press the Enter key. the Administrators
   Command Prompt window is displayed.
5. Type Ping 192.168.1.1 and then press the Enter key to test the connectivity
   from the computer to the router.
6. Click the Internet Explorer icon on the task bar.
7. Type 192.168.1.1 the Address bar of the Internet Exploere, and then press the Enter key.
   the Windows Security dialog box is displayed.
8. Type admin in the User name and password text boxes.
9. Click the OK button. the Linksys by cisco page of the router is displayed.
10. Select Static IP from the Internet Connection Type drop-Down list.
11. Type 65.64.63.62, 255.255.255.0,65.64.63.61,65.64.63.61 in the Internet IP Address, Subnet Mask,
    Default Gateway, and DNS 1 text boxes respectively.
12. Scroll down to the button of the page by clicking the scroll bar.
13. Click the Save setting button.
14. Click the Wireless tab. the Basic Wireless Setting Page is Displayed.
15. Select the Manual Option from the Wireless Configuration section.
16. Ensure that Mixed is selected from the Network Mode drop-down list.
17. Type ABC-Systems in the Network Name (SSID) text box, and then press the Enter key.
18. Ensure that the Steandard- 20MHz Channel is selected from the Radio Band dop-down list.
19. Select 11 - 2.462GHz from the Standard Cannel is selected from the Radio Band drop-down list.
20. Ensure that the Enabled option is selected in the SSID Broadcast section.
21. Click the save setting button.
22. Click Wireless Security tab. the Wireless security page is displayed.
23. select WPA2 Personal from the security Mode drop-down list.
24. Ensure that TKIP or AES is selected from the Encrtption drop-down list.
25. Type Password@123 in the Passphrase text box.
26. Ensure thet the Key Renewal time is 3600 seconds.
27. Click the Save Setting button.
28. Click the securuty tab. The Security page is displayed.
29. Ensure that the Enabled option is selected in the Firewall section.
30. Click the save setting button.
31. Click the Administratoon tab. The Management page is displayed.
32. Replace the existing text with Password@1234 in the Router Password and Re-Enter the Password text boxs.
33. Ensure that the HTTP check box is selected in Web Utility Access.
34. Ensure that the Enabled option in selected in Web Utility Access via wireless.
35. Click the save setting button.
36. Click the Status tab. the status page is displayed. you will notice that the changes that you have made for the router
    configuration are visible.
37. Close the Router window.

Task 2. Configure wireless on the computer.
To Configure wireless on the computer., you need to perform the following steps:
1. Press the Windows+C keys. The Chams bar is displayed.
2. Click Search. The Search charm is displayed.
3. Type Control Panel, and then press the Enter key. the control Panel window is displayed.
4. Click the Network and Internet link. the Network and internet window is displayed.
5. Click the Connect to a network link.The Network pane is displayed.
6. Ensure that ABC-Systems is selected under the Wi-Fi section.
7. Click the ABC-Systems link. After a few moments, the Enter the network security key.text box is displayed.
8. Type Password@123 in the Seecurity key text box.
9. Click the Next button. the networks charm is displayed.
10. Click the yes, turu on sharing and connect to devices link. After a few moments, the ABC-Systems connection is connected.
11. Close all the open windows.
